UltraHD 33MP Sensor TV Camera

From DigInfoTV

This is an experimental Single-chip Imaging System for Super Hi-Vision from NHK Science & Technology Research. Instead of using the traditional 4 separate 8MP image sensors, each targeting a primary color (1 sensor targets cyan, 1 sensor tragets red, 2 sensors target green), it uses a single 33MP chip and 35mm digital camera Bayer technology.

The Nikon D3x is already at 24.5MP and it is simply a matter of time before 35mm HD DSLR will top 33MP while offering video. Will we see the demise of those large, cumbersome TV camera soon?
