Unmanned Camera Brings In $8M

What? This camera is unmanned, i.e. there is no human photographer. But it still brought in £5m (US $8M). Yes, you guessed it: a money grab using a traffic camera. How did they manage that? By erecting nine confusing signs that change the rules of the road depending on whether you’re driving on that road during the day or night, etc. And, best of all, it’s on a residential street on Grafton Road in Kentish Town, London.

Either the people living on that street is filthy rich and that’s just pocket change for them (I watched MTV Cribs and How’d You Get that Rich yesterday night, and let me tell you, some are) or there is too much through traffic by those desiring a shortcut. The camera catches about 800 drivers a month.
