Free (do whatever you want) high-resolution photos

Unsplash began as a Tumblr account with a simple premise: 10 new curated photos, every 10 days, and every photo 100% free to use. Yes, free as in “do whatever you want.” Today, Unsplash’s community is 40,000 photographers large, and their photos are viewed more than 600 million times every month.

Unsplash License

All photos published on Unsplash are licensed under Creative Commons Zero which means you can copy, modify, distribute and use the photos for free, including commercial purposes, without asking permission from or providing attribution to the photographer or Unsplash.

The featured photos are chosen by curators from varied backgrounds, bringing a wide range of photographs and different styles to the featured photos.

Though you can do whatever you want with the photos, including selling them, you cannot claim them as your own and charge others for freely using them. The community has a dim view of photographers or companies doing this.

Users, however, are encouraged to creatively add to the photos and Made with Unsplash has many examples of such creative remixes.
