Walk Through Rain Without Getting Wet @MoMA

Imagine walking under the rain but not getting wet. As you progress in your walk, it seems the rain just refuses to fall on you.

This is the rAndom International’s Rain Room exhibition at MoMA, part of MoMA PS1’s EXPO 1: New York, that allows visitors to navigate through rain without ever getting wet.

Rain Room is a 100 square meter area of falling water that uses 3D tracking cameras to sense a person’s presence. Sensors in the ceiling recognize each individual’s movement within the installation and changes the rain patterns to effectively carve out a cocoon of dryness around each visitor so they stay dry amidst the downpour.

Now you do have to walk at a less than normal pace. No, you cannot outrun the raindrops.
