Watch Nat Geo’s Joel Sartore Wipe A Turtle’s Butt

Taking pictures of endangered species can be a photographer’s fulfilling dream — if said endangered species will cooperate. What happens when they don’t? A hilarious behind-the-scenes video of the shoot is posted on PDNPulse which shows National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore making the animal portraits. You get a view of the setup and an idea of the infinite patience required in these kinds of shoots. The finished pictures can be viewed in Sartore’s new book Rare: Portraits of America’s Endangered Species.
