A CNN article drew attention to the fact that Facebook privacy concerns are causing people to delete their Facebook accounts — if they can find the mysterious Delete Button!
If you type in the phrase “How do I” on Google, one of the first suggested searches that comes up is “How do I delete my Facebook account,” a factoid discovered by Danny Sullivan, a blogger at Search Engine Land.
So, we decided to do a tongue-in-cheek test, as of right now. Here are the results for the US, Canada, the UK and France.
The US is way up there with privacy issues concerns.
Canadians are more worried about getting pregnant while actively searching to find out how to delete their Facebook accounts.
The UK is also concerned about pregnancy and seems ambivalent about Facebook privacy issues, some wanting to know how to delete their accounts while others are busy creating new groups.
Ah, but the French does not seem at all concerned about the privacy issues raging in the predominantly English-speaking countries. Instead, they want to know how to create new groups in Facebook! Saperlipopette !
While their English neighbors worry about getting pregnant, the French wants to know how to, ahem, “make love.”
