The Miami Street Photography Festival (MSPF) is an international photography festival showcasing the best of contemporary street and documentary photography.

The Miami Street Photography Festival, sponsored by Leica Camera USA, is an international photography festival, showcasing the best of contemporary Street Photography viewed through the eyes of emerging photographers in this genre.  The goal of the Festival is to establish a global platform for learning through exhibitions, workshops, lectures and other events.

  • There is FREE admission to the festival which is held at:
    HistoryMiami Museum
    101 West Flagler Street,
    Miami, FL 33130 USA
  • A panel of internationally accomplished street photographers will select images to be this year’s MSPF Finalists.  This exhibit of those photos will be on display from December 7-10.
  • The festival is presented by the HistoryMiami Center for Photography, which is  sponsored by The Knight Foundation and  John and Susannah Shubin.

As part of the festival legendary photographers Costa Manos, Harvey Stein, Vineet Vohra, Maggie Steber, Ibarionex Perello will host special workshops which require fees.

The following video presents Rick McCawley – The Art of Street Photography:
Rick McCawley discusses the art of street photography by looking at the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Doisneau, Garry Winogrand, Elliott Erwitt, Robert Frank, Josef Koudelka, Sebastião Salgado and Alex Webb. McCawley is a photographer, designer and professor of graphic design at Broward College, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In 12 years as a staff photographer for the Miami Herald (1980-1992), he got shot at during riots, dived to capture the first photos of the rediscovered treasure ship Nuestra Señora de Atocha, and lived in a trailer photographing the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew (part of the public service Pulitzer Prize team).

Miami Street Photography Festival Celebrates its 6th Anniversary!

Miami Street Photography Festival returns to HistoryMiami Museum for its 6th anniversary. The Festival will take over a gallery at HistoryMiami Museum and will feature the work of photographers from more than 50 countries. The festival draws in thousands of people over the course of four days and gives exposure to up-and-coming photographers from around the globe and highlights the best in international street photography.

Legendary photographers Alessandra Sanguinetti, Constantine Manos, Larry Fink, Richard Sandler, Maggie Steber, and Harvey Stein will be this year’s featured guests.

Also participating, are photographers Rick McCawley, Vineet Vohra, Joseph Michael Lopez, Donato DiCamillo, Ibarionex Perello, Forrest Walker, Niki Gleoudis, Gabe Sanchez and Tony Sarria, Nikk La, Yarum Braciño and more.
